Norway's Minnesota, India's Durban: A Feature on the takeover of towns by immigrants

Based on unique factors, it is typical to have migrants settle in selected locations, conducting activities and collaborating as a community within a community.

Travel Learn participant’s journey into several communities, virtually, with a final participatory and exploratory activity in Durban South Africa. Program title is derived from the fact that Minnesota - USA for instance, is the unofficial Norwegian capital of the United States, and more Norwegians live in Minnesota than in any other state.

Similarly, Durban South Africa, once a home to the legendary Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, has more overseas Indians than any other city outside India.

Activity is interested in presenting (based on participation), the resultant effects of these patterns of settlement as regards specific communities.
