Based on a virtual tour of multiple societies the world over; We look at people who live in the surroundings of beaches, drawn from various societies, what they do, eat, believe in and give to tourists; capped with an '11 day’ participatory & exploratory tour of Ghana, Benin, and Togo-West Africa by ‘Travel-Learn’ Participants
One of the things that beacherine inhabitants have to live with on a daily basis is that the house will always have some particles of sand, just like hair, clothing, pets etc. Living with a radius of 10 miles to the beach could be destructive for vehicles. as well.
This Travel Learn exercise focuses mostly on economic activity patterns, survival, adaptation to the environment, and the hazards. A participatory approach better answers the set of questions as we journey into three beacherine countries of West Africa-Ghana, Benin, and Togo.
